INEE Thematic Spotlights Overview

New in 2012!

The new INEE Thematic Spotlights are a way for INEE members to discover and share information on particular themes within education in emergencies. The goal is to expand and make available the knowledge base for both practice and research within key thematic areas. Thematic Spotlights are planned to take place quarterly and to last for one month each.

Each Thematic Spotlight will include at least two INEE listserv messages. The first message will contain key resources and questions on a theme, and will serve as a call for additional resources from INEE members. The INEE Secretariat will collect contributions on the theme and, at the end of the Thematic Spotlight month, will disseminate all the gathered resources and information on the INEE website and through a second listserv message.

The Thematic Spotlights will also serve the INEE Strategic Research Agenda, so a special call is made to researchers interested in a thematic area, program people with research topics, and donors interested in funding specific research to actively engage in the Thematic Spotlights feedback loop. We encourage all members to identify key research projects, academic articles, and member experts in the thematic areas.

Thematic Spotlights may also include webinars, Meet-up events, blog posts, and INEE Twitter campaigns
