Participants will celebrate the release of four major tools focused on improved educational preparedness, response and recovery, and will actively engage in a one day interactive event, including:

• An official launch and overview of four new inter-agency tools;
• A choice of four orientation workshops on the new tools;
• Discussion of next steps for improved educational preparedness, response and recovery;
• Opportunities to interact and network with regional education in emergencies actors;
• An introduction to INEE, a global open community with a vast range of resources and collaborative initiatives to be explored.

The four new tools to be launched are:

• INEE Minimum Standards for Education: Preparedness, Response, Recovery
• INEE Guidance Notes on Teaching and Learning
• INEE Reference Guide to External Education Financing
• INEE Pocket Guide to Gender
