Planning Your Session
All of the Plenary, Learning and Working Sessions at the INEE Global Consultation 2009 will contribute to the overarching goal of the consultation--Bridging the Gaps: Risk Reduction, Relief and Recovery—and the strategic goals of the network. These include:
- Strengthening institutional coordination, policy dialogue and advocacy to ensure education for all affected by crisis
- Enhancing global knowledge and capacity in order to support education in crisis and post-crisis settings
- Promoting a dynamic network to advance the field of education in emergencies
To help facilitate meeting these goals, INEE has prepared the following documents for the Session Coordinators, Presenters, Chairs and Rapporteurs to help guide their planning and preparations.
- Session Title and Abstract form (due November 3rd)
- Session Overview form (due February 2nd)
- Session Brief form (to be submitted during consultation; copies will be made available in Turkey)
- The information collected on the Session Brief will contribute greatly to the structure of the closing session of the consultation, the outcome report for this event to be shared with the wider network as well as the goals and objectives for INEE moving forward.
- Tip Sheet for Session Chairs (Coming soon!)
- Tip Sheet for Session Rapporteurs (Coming soon!)
Attention to these goals and the preparations currently underway by the various Learning and Working Session groups will greatly contribute to creating an action-driven and collaborative space during the consultation in which delegates will not only advance the specific goals of this event but will also respond to the diverse needs of the growing field of education in emergencies, early reconstruction and fragile states.
