2011 INEE Minimum Standards Assessment is Underway!

The INEE Minimum Standards Working Group is conducting an assessment to understand the use and application of the INEE Minimum Standards for Education – Preparedness, Response, Recovery.

The INEE Secretariat is now analysing the data that was collected from the surveys. The assessment report will be launched in spring 2012 with the findings. Thanks for your input!

INEE Minimum Standards Research Plan

INEE Minimum Standards Evaluations

  • Uganda (2008).  This study was undertaken to determine the awareness, utilisation, institutionalisation and impact of the INEE Minimum Standards in Uganda. The evaluation provides a detailed case study of the implementation of the INEE Minimum Standards in Uganda, while providing lessons learnt and recommendations that will inform INEE’s global monitoring and evaluation process.   • Pakistan (2007).  This study was undertaken to add to the understanding of the awareness, utilisation, institutionalisation, and impact of the INEE Minimum Standards in Pakistan following the October 2005 earthquake. To read more or to view and download the report, click here.

 

  • Darfur, Sudan (2006).  The Women’s Commission for Refugee Women and Children, as part of the assessment team for a two-country case study to determine the level of use and efficacy of the INEE Minimum Standards, conducted a two-phase assessment of the INEE Minimum Standards in Sudan, focusing on North and South Darfur. Measuring the Implementation and Impact of the Minimum Standards (2007)

As part of the Monitoring and Evaluation process, a team of researchers from InterWorks, Columbia University and the George Washington University conducted a global survey to analyse INEE members’ awareness, utilisation, and institutionalisation of the standards, and ultimately the impact that the standards have had on improving the quality of education in emergencies.
