INEE Minimum Standards Update Consultative workshops (June-December 2009)

All INEE members are invited to facilitate consultative workshops on the INEE Minimum Standards Update as a means to gather recommendations for specific changes to the INEE Minimum Standards handbook on three particular types of ‘topic’:

  1. Format update: how to make the handbook easier to understand and to use
  2. Content update – issues to be mainstreamed: for example, gender, youth, early childhood development, HIV/AIDS, disaster risk reduction, conflict mitigation and rights. Please click here to see a list of key issues to be mainstreamed and strengthened in the 2010 edition of the INEE Minimum Standards Handbook and details of the ‘thematic’ focal points who will lead for each one.
  3. Content update - categories: including the introduction chapter and the Standards Common to all other categories.

If you know well the INEE Minimum Standards and would like to be involved in the update process, please consult the documents below, and contact {encode="msupdate@ineesite.org" title="msupdate@ineesite.org"}. We would like the update process to reflect the views of as wide a range of people as possible, and in particular representatives of people directly affected by crisis situations: Education authorities, teachers, students, parents and other community members.
