BRAC USA seeks a passionate storyteller with exceptional research skills and a career interest in international development, youth development, or research.
Reporting to the Program Manager, Girls’ Initiatives and the Program Manager, Education on the Learning, Empowerment, and Adolescent Development (LEAD) team, the LEAD Intern will work as an integral part of an intimate, highly effective team to support a diverse portfolio that includes education, girls empowerment and adolescent development.
BRAC USA is an independent affiliate of BRAC, a global leader in developing and implementing cost-effective, evidence-based programs to assist the most marginalized people in extremely poor and post-disaster settings. Our mission is to empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, disease and social injustice. BRAC USA’s purpose is to raise awareness and mobilize resources to reduce poverty, improve health, provide education, and empower women and girls around the world.
Support team members in the development of an overarching strategy for youth employment by conducting research and scheduling interviews with experts
Assist team members with database management, including pipeline reports, grant stewardship, and prospect researching.
Lead special projects in areas of interest.
Current BA or MA student or recent graduate
A proven passion for international development and BRAC’s mission
Superb writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail
Excellent research skills and ability to frame research for a variety of audiences
Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere

This is an unpaid internship, but BRAC USA offers academic credit where permitted and reimburses local travel expenses.
