Promoting access to quality, safe, and relevant education for all persons affected by crisis

Education in Emergencies Timeline

1 October 2017

We are pleased to share with you a new website that chronicles the history of our field of work - the Education in Emergencies Timeline!

Developed with assistance from dozens of education in emergencies (EiE) professionals and veterans, the “EiE Timeline” showcases the global history of the sector, including many of the crises, interventions, conventions, actors, events, and publications that have shaped the EiE field of work.

This new interactive website - http://timeline.ineesite.org - is accessible on all platforms and browsers, including mobile. You can navigate through the website chronologically in its entirety, or search for contents by keyword, or browse the entries by filter categories, including Events, Milestones, Resources, etc.

The EiE Timeline is available in English at this time, and other language versions are planned for the near future.

We invite you to take a few minutes to visit the EiE Timeline and learn about where we have come from and where we are going!

Corrections and other feedback are welcome at timeline@ineesite.org.
