Ten-Year Anniversary Web Page
INEE has reached a milestone:
INEE celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year!
From the creation of the INEE Minimum Standards for Education — Preparedness, Response, Recovery, through our advocacy to establish the IASC Education Cluster, to the development of a number of good practice tools for the field, available on the INEE Toolkit, and recent work on Education and Fragility, INEE has been a leader in moving education in emergencies from the back-burner of humanitarian response to a first-line intervention. Along the way, INEE has grown from a handful of dedicated people to a network of over 5,000 members in over 130 countries.

10th Anniversary Photo Contest: Capture INEE
In commemoration of INEE's 10th Anniversary, INEE hosted a photo contest from March 10th to April 3rd 2011. There were over 950 visits to our official photo contest site, and we received 58 photo entries that best capture education in emergencies in the following categories:
- Community participation
- Learning environment
- Teachers/Teaching
- Students/Learning
- Other/General Education in Emergencies and Post-Crisis Settings
From April 4th- 6th, INEE members worldwide voted for their favorite photos, and the five photos from each category with the most votes were announced and featured at the 10th Anniversary reception in London on April 12th. See the winning photos and find out more about the photographers who took them below.
We would like to thank all the INEE members who voted for the favorite photos. And a special thanks goes to all the photo contest participants for sharing their fantastic photos with us!
